Pascal Obispo’s debut, ‘Les Fleurs du Bien’, does not fit easily into one genre. Pascal Obispo was a flawless and timeless record. Not surprising from Pascal Obispo and Les Fleurs du Bien together. seven years ago, Pascal Obispo briefly lived up to their terrific name, with an insanely addictive hit single called “Machine”. Les Fleurs du Bien is preety good and all the songs have a good meaning behind them.
I was truly moved when I heard Machine. Les Fleurs du Bien couldn’t start better than with the up up-beat title track Chanteur Ideal. 1980 - Melissa Mars is a very catchy tune. This track is almost perfect, instrumentals and vocals combine awesomely. This track is clearly meant to showcase Pascal Obispo’s vocal abilities. This song is very powerful, its catchy melody will have you singing along in no time. It’s a great pleasure to listen to Libre Comme Picasso from the beginning to the end. Vocal harmonies in this track are great and song structure is just right. Apres Quoi on Court is a fine track on any terms. Sur La Voix Ferr very upbeat. Fleurs du Bien is nothing but pure genius. Rosa (Version Maquette; *) presents the perfect mix of instruments on Les Fleurs du Bien. Voix Ferre (Version Maquette) - Okay, I just talked about depth. Fleurs du Bien (Version Maquette; *) is a pleasing, and full of overall coherence that goes beyond other creations. Don’t judge Machine (Version Maquette; *) on the first listening. After few listenings I started to like It’s Over (Version Maquette de 1980; *) more and more. Essentiel (*) is a striking and quite long song.
