Advance and Vanquish isn’t so much a record, as a great effort at dragging you into another world. John Digester has compared writing for 3 Inches Of Blood’s new album to that on ‘Advance and Vanquish’ - but has declared the lyrics will be even more terrifying. After debuting at No. 1 last week, 3 Inches Of Blood’s album Advance and Vanquish falls to No. 2 with 872,000, a sales slide of 97%. IT makes me wanna dance!
Music of Deadly Sinners is gentle, never overbearing. Awesome song is really all that you can say about it. After you’ve listened to Dominion Of Deceit, most everything else can’t hold up and is second rate. Premonition Of Pain is a song to savor, to listen to from every angle. Lord Of The Storm (Upon The Boiling Sea II) is another favourite of mine. Wykydtron is the album’s biggest hit, I think. In Swordmaster you won’t find any flashy solos. 3 Inches Of Blood rocks harder than ever with Axes Of Evil. Once Crazy Nights gets in your head, it will NEVER leave. Destroy The Orcs as a highlight of Advance and Vanquish contains a ton of perfect melodies. The Phantom Of The Crimson Cloak - I just love it. This track, in particular, has the kind of undeniably catchy flavor.
