Nowhere is this more so than on their re-working of Siouxsie and The Banshees on ‘Dear Prudence’. After debuting at No. 1 last week, Siouxsie and The Banshees’s album The Best Of (CD 1) falls to No. 2 with 444,000, a sales slide of 59%. When you buy a Siouxsie and The Banshees album, you know exactly what you’re getting! Siouxsie and The Banshees “The Best Of (CD 1)” is an amazing album.
Voice of Siouxsie and The Banshees in Hong Kong Garden is honest and guitar work is subtle and poignant. Cities In Dust (4:05) - Oh, this is one of my favorites! The sound of Peek A Boo is difficult to describe, as it seems to squirm in a sensual manner, unlike anything ever created. After about the third Happy House listen through, I began to believe this song is Siouxsie and The Banshees’s essence. Kiss Them For Me is one of my favorite songs by Siouxsie and The Banshees. Face Toi Face is new, fresh, and hypnotizing. After you’ve listened to Dizzy, most everything else can’t hold up and is second rate. A fantastic track full of wonder. Music of Christine is gentle, never overbearing. I like the idea behind Spellbound. Stargazer - For me, this is the best of the album. Arabian Knights as a highlight of The Best Of (CD 1) contains a ton of gorgeous melodies. The first time I listened to The Killing Jar I was struck by its marvelous sound. In This Wheel’s On Fire you won’t find any flashy solos.
