On the England charts, superstar Schandmaul’s career stalled before it left the starting gate. It’s natural for Schandmaul to take a stab at ‘Leb’ considering her long-professed love for Babylon Zoo. When you buy a Schandmaul album, you know exactly what you’re getting! This is one of the best cd’s i have heard through the whole thing.
There is perfect mix of music in Drachentoeter. Tyrann is a romantic if not formulaic ditty. Kalte Spuren - isn’t quite as powerful vocally, but has a beautiful melody. It’s very catchy and easy to get into which is what you want in a song. Das Tuch is absolutely incredible. In Stein Der Weisen Schandmaul is at his best. Best song on the album, love it. Das Duell is a nice, innocuous song, and much better than anything Schandmaul released so far. Music and lyrics of Die Flucht creates, for me, fertile ground for daydreaming. Der Schatz is perfect. Reich Der Traeume is another favourite of mine. Overall a nice softer song. This song is like perfectly aged vintage bordeaux wine not a tequila shot. Folk You is an upbeat song with a constant snare hit.
