Schandmaul was a flawless and timeless record. Not surprising from Schandmaul and Mit Leib Und Seele together. For older fans Mit Leib Und Seele will put a massive smile accross your face. There is so much to love about Schandmaul, starting with incredible harmonies, songwriting chops and stellar stage presence. Schandmaul is one of my favourite bands of all time.
Lichtblick is kind of track that compels you to skip back and drink it in one more time before moving on through Mit Leib Und Seele. Kein Weg zu weit gives taste of what makes Schandmaul special as a musician. The sound in Abschied is really warm and Schandmaul’s signature voice is still very much present. In Feuertanz it becomes nowhere more obvious that Schandmaul has yet to define own style. From the sound of it, I believe the song can be a big radio hit. Das Maedchen und der Tod is a song you cannot help but think about at odd moments in your day. Der Untote is the more seemingly obscure song on Mit Leib Und Seele that bear up best to repeated listening. Musically Zauber der Nacht is superior to other tracks in Mit Leib Und Seele. I listened to the opening track Mitgift and liked it a lot. Wolkenberge one of the most beautiful songs i’ve ever heard. Dunkle Stunde - This one has a powerful beat and a good melody. This track is a great song that still never gets old. Der Poet is a song to savor, to listen to from every angle. Das Spiel - I just love it. Kaptn Coma is nothing but pure genius. A great put together song.
