It’s natural for Los del Rio to take a stab at ‘Hooka Chaka’ considering her long-professed love for Led Zeppelin. There were many famous songs of Los del Rio available. Palante carries a very emotional theme throughout the album. I wish that “Palante” album was instrumental.
This song has very few things relative to that of it’s predecessor. El Mariachi Loco is one of those songs that will put you in a good mood. If you are a Los del Rio fan, you will love Sevilla Tiene Un Color Especia. It is succeeded by an outstanding track, however: Alma Rociera, which shows, blatantly, how much Los del Rio has evolved as a singer. Macarena is a gorgeous, simple song by Los del Rio at the top of his game. Ay Celia is the album’s biggest hit, I think. Ole is the more seemingly obscure song on Palante that bear up best to repeated listening. Celosa is a song that takes you on the journey before it reaches the conclusion. Voice of Los del Rio in Dando Gerra is honest and guitar work is subtle and poignant. Vocals of Los del Rio in Gloria really capture me and are set perfectly to the rhythm.
