After seeing Black Heart Revenge, I had to have a good Liar cd. Self-described as Metal with lots of words, Liar comes out swinging on perhaps his best album to date. Now signed to Liar’s ForeFront Records, the title track from second album “Murder Manifesto” leads Liar’s back-to-school campaign. Smart music for smart people.
It is succeeded by an outstanding track, however: DestrG¶yer, which shows, blatantly, how much Liar has evolved as a singer. Some of the arrangements found on Murder Manifesto are surprisingly edgy. Murder Manifesto is a amazing song and it grows on you. Nemesis is an upbeat song with a constant snare hit. I find myself hearing bits of Purgatory here and there throughout my waking hours. Liar emotions are reflected through Rising. The Final March have really caught my ear and imagination. Wolfsblood - Check out that bassline! The sound of Wounded World is difficult to describe, as it seems to squirm in a sensual manner, unlike anything ever created.
