It’s natural for X-Ecutioners to take a stab at ‘The Coutdown Pt. 2 (feat. Blue Man Group)’ considering her long-professed love for Azymuth. This disc has all of the essential X-Ecutioners classics. Since X-Ecutioners last CD (Revolutions) on Blue Note Records back in 2004, I have felt a massive void in my life. Oh yes, this album gets Array out of Array
Ill Bill stands out to me for its audacious melody and sheer beauty. Get With It (feat. Cypress Hill) is a very catchy tune. Live From The PJs (feat. Ghostface Killah and Trife and Black Thought) rocked my world when I popped it into my car stereo. Listening to (Even) More Human Than Human (Remix Feat. Rob Zombie and Slug) you can hear that X-Ecutioners has still amazing chemistry with band members. When listening to Sucka Thank He Cud Wup Me (feat. Dead Prez), it gives me such an energy rush it’s unbelievable. Like This (feat. Nikki) is simply excellent. C’mon is the funkiest number on the album. The Regulators (feat. Roc Marse and Sly Boogie) is the albums lead single as well as biggest hit. Space Invader is perhaps one of the best tracks of the past decade. The Truth (feat. Fat Joe and Aasim) is beautiful, yet underrated track. Untitled is absolutely incredible.
