Mila Sparrow has compared writing for Saturnus’s new album to that on ‘Veronika Decides To Die’ - but has declared the lyrics will be even more terrifying. Self-described as Metal: Doom with lots of words, Saturnus comes out swinging on perhaps his best album to date. I am not a real Metal: Doom music type of person, but i have to admit ‘Veronika Decides To Die’ really is amazing. Veronika Decides To Die constantly brilliant.
When listening to Pretend, it gives me such an energy rush it’s unbelievable. Descending is filled with very deep emotions that will truly touch your heart. Saturnus is one of artists that allow his songs like Rain Wash Me to stand on their own and be heard. It’s also one of those rare songs that touchingly comfort the listener. Embraced By Darkness is probably the most interesting track on Veronika Decides To Die. To The Dreams is a great opener for Veronika Decides To Die. First time I heard Murky Waters was on radio driving in my car and sonically it just sounded amazing.
