Lead single “Who Am I” and “Girls Dem Sugar” start with near-whispers before kicking into giddily catchy, fuzz box-driven hollered hooks. This album has some very good songs like Who Am I and Girls Dem Sugar. Beenie Man was a flawless and timeless record. Not surprising from Beenie Man and Kingston To King Of The Dancehall: A Collection Of Dancehall Favorites together. IT makes me wanna dance!
In Girls Dem Sugar full palet of sound is used by Beenie Man to accentuate the presentation. Romie is the albums lead single as well as biggest hit. Ole Dawg one is one of the better boring ones. Slam - I like this one. This is the most melodic ambitious and satisfying track in Kingston To King Of The Dancehall: A Collection Of Dancehall Favorites. Nuff Gal is an incredible song that has everything it needs to be another favorite track. Beenie Man breathes new life into the music in Bookshelf. In Girls Dem Sugar it becomes nowhere more obvious that Beenie Man has yet to define own style. It’s a great pleasure to listen to Love Me Now from the beginning to the end. Miss L.A.P. is a pleasing, and full of overall coherence that goes beyond other creations. Bossman (Ft. Lady Saw And Sean Paul) is astounding. Other tracks are good but your best bet is to stick with Dude. King Of The Dancehall as well as many of songs is a short story in miniature. Row Like A Boat gives taste of what makes Beenie Man special as a musician. The Specialists (Ft. Vybz Kartel) - This one is lively and fun.
