This is the first studio album from Dwele since bad diagnosis in 2004. After seeing R.I.Z.E., I had to have a good Dwele cd. There is no doubt that Dwele has talent. Rize constantly brilliant.
What You Want Me To Do defines beauty, yet is as unforgiving as an astringent stone. She’ll Never Know is a very good song maybe surprisingly better than you at first might’ve imagined. Music of Mahogany is gentle, never overbearing. Best song on the album, love it. Dwele sings Melodies in such a comforting, confident voice that you can’t help but be moved. |titile| is a sure sign of something most of us are experiencing, maturity. This song is like perfectly aged vintage bordeaux wine not a tequila shot. I’ve found myself listening to Overcome The Darkness back to back and back many times. Ladies First is a song that takes you on the journey before it reaches the conclusion. Early Morning - isn’t quite as powerful vocally, but has a beautiful melody. Timeless gets you up and jumping. Bonus Track 2 is simply excellent. Fantasy Girl make listening to Dwele like being in some sort of time warp. Bonus Track 4 have really caught my ear and imagination. You have to get essence of the Bonus Track 5’s power, to truly understand this masterpiece. Pain is an incredible song that has everything it needs to be another favorite track.
