This -song debut EP shows the promise that Angie Stone has. It has been fifteen years Angie Stone’ last studio CD, “Stone Love” which won Array Emmy Awards and was nominated for album of the year. Since Angie Stone last CD (Stone Love) on Mute Records back in 2004, I have felt a massive void in my life. If I may, I suggest “Stone Love Intro”. That one song is amazing!
|titile| is the kind of record that makes you remember why music can be so addictive. The sound in My Man feat. Floetry is really warm and Angie Stone’s signature voice is still very much present. Vocal harmonies in this track are great and song structure is just right. Angie Stone has created something that grabs you by the heart and gets you moving. Lovers Ghetto is just a great song and one well worth taking the time to give it a good listen. Little Bit Of This (Interlude) is one of those songs that will put you in a good mood. Your Gonna Get It is such a gorgeous and optimistic song that things can get just better. The first time I listened to Come Home I was struck by its astounding sound. If you are a Angie Stone fan, you will love You Don’t Love Me. I came to like Remy Red. That Kind Of Love is one of my favorite songs by Angie Stone. Touch It - is a breath or fresh air compared to many previous songs of Angie Stone. Cinderella Ballin - A classic Angie Stone track. Music in Karma is marvelous as in all tracks of Stone Love. Whereever You Are Outro is flawed, nonetheless pretty good song. I Wanna Thank Ya (W-O Snoop Dogg) is simple, dignified and effective, Angie Stone refusing to over-emote, and demonstrating that less is more.
