ten years ago, George Dalaras briefly lived up to their terrific name, with an insanely addictive hit single called “Is Oria-Mu”. When you buy a George Dalaras album, you know exactly what you’re getting! There is no doubt that George Dalaras has talent. If I may, I suggest “Megogeios, Sebax O 8alassinnosTi Einai Afto Pou Mas Enwnei”. That one song is amazing!
Is Oria-Mu is a song that definitely grows on you and becomes an album favorite. In Luna Rosa (With Eddy Napoli) it becomes nowhere more obvious that George Dalaras has yet to define own style. Music of O Mare E Tu is gentle, never overbearing. Charming song, great melody. Tayomro E-Shita (With Mira Anwar Awad) as well as many of songs is a short story in miniature. This song may be the most meaningful. Petakses (Corsica) is almost impossible to review. Scapricciatiello (With Eddy Napoli) pretty much defines how I feel spiritually. This track is just a stunning masterpiece. Cancao Do Mar (With Dulce Pontes) is really a nice song to relax and listen too. O Meu Menino E De Oiro (With Dulce Pontes) is possibly the best song George Dalaras has come up. Mavilim (With Halil Moustafa) is the best music that I have heard from anyone in any area of music. San Ton Metanasth (With Halil Moustafa) has a beautifully haunting disco flavor. Na Me Thymasai is George Dalaras’s best work in years. George Dalaras allows each song to breathe and flourish. 8alassa Platiaxartino To Feggari (With Dulce Pontes) - isn’t quite as powerful vocally, but has a beautiful melody. George Dalaras must have run out of lyrics on the next track Omorfh Polh (With Dulce Pontes).
