Now signed to Ruben Studdard’s ForeFront Records, the title track from second album “The Return” leads Ruben Studdard’s back-to-school campaign. Ivan Grach has compared writing for Ruben Studdard’s new album to that on ‘The Return’ - but has declared the lyrics will be even more terrifying. This fifteen-song debut EP shows the promise that Ruben Studdard has. The Return is the best essence of Ruben Studdard.
Opening track Change Me shows the best of Ruben Studdard. Make Ya Feel Beautiful gets you up and jumping. It’s a great pleasure to listen to Get U Loose from the beginning to the end. Our Story - I used to hate this song, but now it’s one of my favorites. Voice and instruments in One Side complement each other. Get The Return and turn on What Tha Business if you are going to sip your wine late at night. I loved Rather Just Not Know the first time I heard it. Ain’t No Party - is a breath or fresh air compared to many previous songs of Ruben Studdard. This is probably my favorite song on the album. From the moment you listen to I’m Not Happy you’re hooked. In To Da Crib you won’t find any flashy solos. Blow Ya Mind is perfect. If Only For One Night (Bonus Track) great lyrics, dark, deep, angry and cool.
