There is so much to love about Jimmy Buffett, starting with incredible harmonies, songwriting chops and stellar stage presence. There is no doubt that Jimmy Buffett has talent. On Take The Weather With You album, Jimmy Buffett have renewed their membership in the ‘if it ain’t broke…’ school of songwriting. I love this album so much, i’ve been crazy about Jimmy Buffett ever.
Musically Party At The End Of The World is superior to other tracks in Take The Weather With You. In Weather With You it becomes nowhere more obvious that Jimmy Buffett has yet to define own style. Everybody’s On The Phone is beautiful, yet underrated track. Whoop De Doo is probably the highlight of the album. Nothin’ But A Breeze I just LOVE this mix! This song is very powerful, its catchy melody will have you singing along in no time. Reggabilly Hill is another strong production from Jimmy Buffett. Elvis Presley Blues great lyrics, dark, deep, angry and cool. You have to get essence of the Hula Girl At Heart’s power, to truly understand this masterpiece. Wheel Inside The Wheel is probably one of Jimmy Buffett’s biggest successes for the album - it’s lovely to listen to. Silver Wings is simple, dignified and effective, Jimmy Buffett refusing to over-emote, and demonstrating that less is more. Once Breathe In, Breathe Out, Move On gets in your head, it will NEVER leave. This is the kind of song I think of when I think of Jimmy Buffett.
