After debuting at No. 1 last week, Renaud’s album Rouge Sang falls to No. 2 with 366,000, a sales slide of 69%. It has been seven years Renaud’ last studio CD, “Rouge Sang” which won Array Emmy Awards and was nominated for album of the year. While no new Renaud album is in sight, the artist has been road testing new songs during 2006 tour in Asia. This is one of the best cd’s i have heard through the whole thing.
Still going through Rouge Sang and coming to appreciate Malone more and more with every listen. En La Selva is absolutely incredible. Je M’appelle Galilee is perfect. I’ve found myself listening to Pondichery back to back and back many times. Adieu L’enfance is nothing but pure genius. It took me a little time but I ended up loving Jusqu’a La Fin Du M Onde. I listened to the opening track Sentimental Mon Cul and liked it a lot. This track is a killer, it just grabs you instantly. A fantastic track full of wonder. Vocals of Renaud in A La Teloche really capture me and are set perfectly to the rhythm. Renaud has created something that grabs you by the heart and gets you moving. A La Close is a song that will not reduce you to tears but leave you thinking long after Rouge Sang have ended. Arreter La Clope - another great track from the Rouge Sang album. Rs Et Rs is probably the most interesting track on Rouge Sang. Ma Blonde make listening to Renaud like being in some sort of time warp. Outside of the singles, my favorite song on Rouge Sang is Rouge Sang. 5 Sens has a fun tempo. After you’ve listened to J’ai Retrouve Mon Flinge, most everything else can’t hold up and is second rate. This is the kind of song I think of when I think of Renaud. Filles De Joie hits the heart. Music in Danser A Rome is amazing as in all tracks of Rouge Sang. Pas De Dimanches is astounding and different song. Bobos (3:54) Not one of my favorites, but for a lot of people this is one of their best songs. It’s also one of those rare songs that touchingly comfort the listener.
