This is one of the best Cd’s Fine Young Cannibals has dropped to date. Fine Young Cannibals was a flawless and timeless record. Not surprising from Fine Young Cannibals and Platinum Collection together. Since Fine Young Cannibals last CD (Platinum Collection) on Virgin Records back in 2006, I have felt a massive void in my life. Platinum Collection is the best essence of Fine Young Cannibals.
On a Promise - arguably the best track on Platinum Collection album. It’s OK (It’s Alright) is outstanding work of Fine Young Cannibals. Pull the Sucker Off is a great song for a cosy night in when it’s cold and wintry outside. Prick Up Your Ears - Well, here we get a bit more meaning. Fine Young Cannibals has astounded me with this amazing track. Although She Drives Me Crazy is very melodic it is far from sad. Johnny Come Home is a song to savor, to listen to from every angle. Suspicious Minds - A strong beat. Fine Young Cannibals is one of artists that allow his songs like I’m Not the Man I Used to Be to stand on their own and be heard. Excellent vocals and musical performances. Blue presents the exquisite mix of instruments on Platinum Collection. I’ve found myself listening to Funny How Love Is back to back and back many times. It’s also one of those rare songs that touchingly comfort the listener.
