After debuting at No. 1 last week, Gomez’s album Live At The Wireless falls to No. 2 with 891,000, a sales slide of 94%. Since completing 2004’s ‘Get Miles’, Gomez fulfilled their contract with SixSteps records and where under no obligation to release another album. Live At The Wireless isn’t so much a record, as a great effort at dragging you into another world. To me Gomez is the best band ever.
Shot Shot - My least favorite song on this album. Love Is Better Than A Warm Trombone - I used to hate this song, but now it’s one of my favorites. Catch Me Up is amazing work of Gomez. Ping One Down is beautiful, yet underrated track. Do One is a great song to contemplate the modern music and what it really is all about. Get Myself Arrested - is a breath or fresh air compared to many previous songs of Gomez. Gomez sings his heart out in Silence. Bring It On is the albums lead single as well as biggest hit. We Haven’t Turned Around is astounding. Whippin Picadilly is a great opener for Live At The Wireless.
