While no new H-Blockx album is in sight, the artist has been road testing new songs during 2004 tour in Europe. Since H-Blockx last CD (No Excuses) on Mute Records back in 2004, I have felt a massive void in my life. No Excuses isn’t so much a record, as a great effort at dragging you into another world. IT makes me wanna dance!
I Believe - This one has a powerful beat and a good melody. No Excuses presents the perfect mix of instruments on No Excuses. Celebrate Youth is almost impossible to review. Hollywood is astounding. Push Me is the funkiest number on the album. Kiss Me is an underrated song: I like its lyrics and melody a lot. Intuition - A catchy, upbeat tune. H-Blockx sings his heart out in Nothing Left At All. Where’s The Message is a strong cut, one of many. You can find feelings on this piece of art. Anything (But Gone) is such a perfect and optimistic song that things can get just better. Seeking The Sun - I used to hate this song, but now it’s one of my favorites.
