Self-described as Latin with lots of words, Tribute comes out swinging on perhaps his best album to date. It’s a brave and brilliant refocusing of Tribute energies, virtually a rebirth. It’s natural for Tribute to take a stab at ‘01 and I Love Her (Bolero Non Stop)’ considering her long-professed love for KLF. Smart music for smart people.
Do You Want To Know A Secret (Bolero Non Stop) as a highlight of Beatles Meet Latin contains a ton of excellent melodies. Get Back (Cha Cha Non Stop) which is my favorite is a truly Tribute sounding song. You Can T Do That (Cha Cha Non Stop) is one of those songs that will put you in a good mood. This track is a killer, it just grabs you instantly. Ob La Di Ob La Da (Cumbia Non Stop) is a catchy, up-tempo track that has influence of music streams without leaning too much in that direction. Tribute is hitting on all cylinders in I Ll Follow The Sun (Cumbia Non Stop). Tribute rocks harder than ever with Things We Said Today (Cumbia Non Stop). Lyrics of Help (Salsa Non Stop) are precise and evocative. I Saw Her Standing There (Salsa Non Stop) is flawed, nonetheless pretty good song. A Hard Day S Night (Merengue Non Stop) catches attention immediately, I Want To Hold Your Hand (Merengue Non Stop) is one of these floating songs. Tribute offers the kind of music here that makes you reflect on yourself. I’ve found myself listening to Hey Jude (Romantica Non Stop) back to back and back many times. Yesterday (Romantica Non Stop) is the first taste of the new album. Here There Everywhere (Romantica Non Stop) - This one is what it is: a powerful, primal invitation to love.
