Immortal Technique’s debut, ‘The 2nd Passage’, does not fit easily into one genre. After seeing KhanKrum Remix, I had to have a good Immortal Technique cd. This is the first studio album from Immortal Technique since bad diagnosis in 2006. This album is in perfect progression from Immortal Technique!
Passage Through The Lyrics is absolutely incredible. 911 Freestyle is a song that takes you on the journey before it reaches the conclusion. The beautiful sound of this track makes you want to close your eyes and sway away with the music. Pure Apathy sets the tone for the entire album. Stand Still Feat. Killah Priest & BloodSport is one of the more up-tempo songs on The 2nd Passage. Locked Up Freestyle is flawed, nonetheless pretty good song. Fat Beats Radio is a nice, innocuous song, and much better than anything Immortal Technique released so far. As always, Immortal Technique’s lyrics are worth listening to again and again. Genesis is possibly the best song Immortal Technique has come up. So much energy, so exciting a sound.Excellent vocals and musical performances.
