Consider the Birds is an amazing album, racked with beauty. It has been five years Woven Hand’ last studio CD, “Consider the Birds” which won Array MTV Music Awards and was nominated for album of the year. Since completing 2004’s ‘Sparrow Falls’, Woven Hand fulfilled their contract with Mute Records and where under no obligation to release another album. If I may, I suggest “Sparrow Falls”. That one song is amazing!
Bleary Eyed Duty as a highlight of Consider the Birds contains a ton of cool melodies. To Make A Ring has a fun tempo. Some call Off the Cuff from Consider the Birds as a quiet invitation of an artist to sit and listen. Chest of Drawers defines beauty, yet is as unforgiving as an astringent stone. Vocal harmonies in this track are great and song structure is just right. There is perfect mix of music in The Speaking Hands. Down In Yon Forest is a song that definitely grows on you and becomes an album favorite. Woven Hand has created something that grabs you by the heart and gets you moving. Once you hear Into the Piano, you will listen to it over and over.
