Since completing 2004’s ‘Have Yourself A Merry Christmas’, The Rat Pack fulfilled their contract with ForeFront Records and where under no obligation to release another album. This compilation contains all of the biggest hits by The Rat Pack. This is the first studio album from The Rat Pack since bad diagnosis in 2004. This is my first The Rat Pack Album and i must say i am blown away.
Winter Wonderland is filled with very deep emotions that will truly touch your heart. I like White Christmas because it’s extremely catchy and has awesome drumming. This is one of those songs that musicians strive to write and create. Silver Bells still maintains something of a specific flourish. Silent Night motivates you to get up and do something to improve your life and the life of others. Rock A Bye Your Baby With A Dixie Melody is a good listen every once in a while. Jingle Bells is simple, dignified and effective, The Rat Pack refusing to over-emote, and demonstrating that less is more. From the moment you listen to O Come All Ya Faithful you’re hooked. While The Angelas Was Ringing - arguably the best track on The Christmas Album album. Santa Claus Is Coming To Town is a bit different from The Rat Pack stereotypical stuff. As always, The Rat Pack’s lyrics are worth listening to again and again. One For My Baby is nothing short of a modern masterpiece. This is one of those tracks that should not be judged after the first hearing. Such hits like Christmas Dreaming will leave you hooked. The Lords Prayer as a highlight of The Christmas Album contains a ton of exquisite melodies. O Little Town Of Bethlehem - another great track from the The Christmas Album album. Lets Start The New Year Right is one of my favorite songs by The Rat Pack. Outside of the singles, my favorite song on The Christmas Album is It Came Upon A Midnight Star. Ave Marie can be hardly overrated by any means; this is what The Rat Pack is all about.
