Since completing 2006’s ‘Sisters of Mercy’, Serena Ryder fulfilled their contract with SixSteps records and where under no obligation to release another album. There were many famous songs of Serena Ryder available. I am not a real Easy Listening music type of person, but i have to admit ‘If Your Memory Serves You Well’ really is amazing. One of Serena Ryder’s best albums yet.
Good Morning Starshine is the albums biggest surprise. One of the more genuine-sounding songs is This Wheel’s on Fire. I like to sing along with My Heart Cries for You, though I mess up the lyrics sometimes. I think Some of These Days is the best song Serena Ryder has ever done. Quand Les Hommes Vivront d’Amour is a song that definitely grows on you and becomes an album favorite. It Doesn’t Matter Anymore - This one is what it is: a powerful, primal invitation to love. It’s also one of those rare songs that touchingly comfort the listener. Simply the finest work ever from this multi-talented singer. Coconut Grove as a highlight of If Your Memory Serves You Well contains a ton of perfect melodies. This track is just a stunning masterpiece. Last Night I Had the Strangest Dream is perhaps one of the best tracks of the past decade. Weak in the Knees - This one has a powerful beat and a good melody. Out of the Blue sets the tone for the entire album. Just Another Day is one of the best records ever. Serena Ryder emotions are reflected through Good Morning Starshine (Radio Mix).
