Joy had quite a long carriere and they made many hits. While no new Joy album is in sight, the artist has been road testing new songs during 2006 tour in South America. It’s a brave and brilliant refocusing of Joy energies, virtually a rebirth. Smart music for smart people.
Ya Devi Sarvabhuteshu - arguably the best track on Hymns and Songs in Sanskrit album. Bhavanyashtakam is another strong production from Joy. I have all of Joy’s tracks and Dhyanam is probably the most his introspective effort. Sri Devi Ashtottara Shata Namavalih is nothing but pure genius. So much energy, so exciting a sound.Ganga Stotram is new, fresh, and hypnotizing. Joy is one of artists that allow his songs like Surya Stutih to stand on their own and be heard. Asato Ma Sadgamaya one of the best in my collection. Joy breathes new life into the music in Gayatri Mantra. Om Anandamayi Version 2 has a fun tempo.
