This album has some very good songs like Thomas Leboeg: Nin-Com-Pop Rmx and Boom Bip: Micronomic Rmx. On I Thought I Was Over That: Rare, Remixed and B-Sides (CD2) album, Lali Puna have renewed their membership in the ‘if it ain’t broke…’ school of songwriting. Lead single “Thomas Leboeg: Nin-Com-Pop Rmx” and “Boom Bip: Micronomic Rmx” start with near-whispers before kicking into giddily catchy, fuzz box-driven hollered hooks. This album is awesome.
Strong, powerful vocals of Lali Puna in Boom Bip: Micronomic Rmx are very impressive. Dntel: Faking The Books Rmx - Well, here we get a bit more meaning. To Rococo Rot: Grin and Bear rmx is a very good song maybe surprisingly better than you at first might’ve imagined. Alias: Alienation Rmx on I Thought I Was Over That: Rare, Remixed and B-Sides (CD2) is solid and easy to listen to. This track is just a stunning masterpiece. From the sound of it, I believe the song can be a big radio hit. There is amazing mix of music in Sixtoo: Small Things Rmx. After you’ve listened to Two Lone Swordsmen: Nin-Com-Pop rmx, most everything else can’t hold up and is second rate.
