Self-described as Indie with lots of words, Junior Varsity comes out swinging on perhaps his best album to date. For older fans Wide Eyed will put a massive smile accross your face. twelve years ago, Junior Varsity briefly lived up to their terrific name, with an insanely addictive hit single called “What It Meant to Be Clean”. In What It Meant to Be Clean Junior Varsity is at his best. First time I heard I Said I Try was on radio driving in my car and sonically it just sounded amazing.One listen to the sheer beauty of If It Hurts You was all I needed. Do You Mind? is an underrated song: I like its lyrics and melody a lot. I think When We Meet Aliens… is the best song Junior Varsity has ever done. Other tracks are good but your best bet is to stick with I’m Home, Hooray!. If You Could Paint Your Own Vacation Where Would You Go? (3:59) - Oh, this is one of my favorites! Overall a nice softer song. Get Comfortable is a nice, innocuous song, and much better than anything Junior Varsity released so far. Everyone’s Got Something They’re Running Out of is one of these floating songs.
