This eleven-song debut EP shows the promise that Karelia has. Raise carries a very emotional theme throughout the album. Since Karelia last CD (Raise) on Capitol Records back in 2005, I have felt a massive void in my life. Lots of variety between tracks. My favorite is Child Has Gone
Child Has Gone is an upbeat song with a constant snare hit. Breakdown make listening to Karelia like being in some sort of time warp. The Hermit is a song that takes you on the journey before it reaches the conclusion. Vocals of Karelia in Disharmonic Dogmas really capture me and are set perfectly to the rhythm. Cross and Crescent is one of the most beautiful songs ever to grace my stereo. Tearful Clown is such a astounding and optimistic song that things can get just better. Unbreakable Cordon to me is the best you can get from Karelia. Coming Turn is a astounding, simple song by Karelia at the top of his game. High Hopes is the first taste of the new album.
