After debuting at No. 1 last week, Jakalope’s album It Dreams falls to No. 2 with 421,000, a sales slide of 80%. Mila Sparrow has compared writing for Jakalope’s new album to that on ‘It Dreams’ - but has declared the lyrics will be even more terrifying. It’s a brave and brilliant refocusing of Jakalope energies, virtually a rebirth. I greatly enjoyed this CD.
Creeper is really a nice song to relax and listen too. This track, in particular, has the kind of undeniably catchy flavor. Go Away has a beautifully haunting disco flavor. Tell Me Why is kind of track that compels you to skip back and drink it in one more time before moving on through It Dreams. I hope to keep hearing Jakalope works for a long time to come. It is succeeded by an outstanding track, however: Screecher, which shows, blatantly, how much Jakalope has evolved as a singer. The song feels complete. Lift After Night has to be one of the most beautiful tracks on the entire album. |titile| is quite refreshing and sets the tone for what is going on in It Dreams. Voice and instruments in Badream complement each other. House Of Ill Trepidation is, without a doubt, my favorite song, ever.
