This is the first studio album from Cowboy Troy since bad diagnosis in 2005. This album has some very good songs like I Play Chicken With The Train with Big & Rich and Crick In My Neck. Lead single “I Play Chicken With The Train with Big & Rich” and “Crick In My Neck” start with near-whispers before kicking into giddily catchy, fuzz box-driven hollered hooks. To me Cowboy Troy is the best band ever.
Crick In My Neck - Cowboy Troy first major hit. This track is a great song that still never gets old. If You Dont Wanna Love Me with Sarah Buxton is a romantic if not formulaic ditty. Music and lyrics of My Last Yee Haw with Big & Rich creates, for me, fertile ground for daydreaming. Cowboy Troy rocks harder than ever with El Tejano. Other tracks are good but your best bet is to stick with Somebodys Smilin On Me with Tim McGraw and Big Kenny. Some call Do Your Thang from Loco Motive as a quiet invitation of an artist to sit and listen. I like Beast On The Mic with James Otto because it’s extremely catchy and has awesome drumming. Whoop Whoop with Jon Nicholson is a strong cut, one of many. Automatic with ATOM - This is a very lively song. Cowboy Troy is one of artists that allow his songs like Wrap Around The World to stand on their own and be heard.
