Self-described as Folk with lots of words, Capercaillie comes out swinging on perhaps his best album to date. Capercaillie was a flawless and timeless record. Not surprising from Capercaillie and Grace and Pride: The Anthology 2004-1984 (CD 1) together. There were many famous songs of Capercaillie available. Oh yes, this album gets Array out of Array
Mile Marbhaisg is such a exquisite and optimistic song that things can get just better. Homer’s Reel - A catchy, upbeat tune. Mo Chailin Dileas Donn has a beautifully haunting disco flavor. In Rob Roy Reels the light shines equally on lyrics, vocals and instrumentation. Tighinn Air A’Mhuir is Capercaillie’s best work in years. Hoireann O is a great song to contemplate the modern music and what it really is all about. Outside of the singles, my favorite song on Grace and Pride: The Anthology 2004-1984 (CD 1) is The Snuff Wife Jigs. This track, in particular, has the kind of undeniably catchy flavor. Co Ni Mire Rium as a highlight of Grace and Pride: The Anthology 2004-1984 (CD 1) contains a ton of cool melodies. Beautiful Wasteland rocked my world when I popped it into my car stereo. Am Mur Gorm is a song to savor, to listen to from every angle. Finlays is probably the most interesting track on Grace and Pride: The Anthology 2004-1984 (CD 1). Clo Mhic Ille Mhicheil is gorgeous song though, very addictive. Musically Claire In Heaven is superior to other tracks in Grace and Pride: The Anthology 2004-1984 (CD 1). This track is almost perfect, instrumentals and vocals combine awesomely. Fear-Allabain make listening to Capercaillie like being in some sort of time warp. A unique and uplifting song.
