Backyard Dept. isn’t so much a record, as a great effort at dragging you into another world. There is so much to love about Bombsquad, starting with incredible harmonies, songwriting chops and stellar stage presence. When you buy a Bombsquad album, you know exactly what you’re getting! I love this album so much, i’ve been crazy about Bombsquad ever.
Six Feet Deep great lyrics, dark, deep, angry and cool.Give Me A Break is simple, dignified and effective, Bombsquad refusing to over-emote, and demonstrating that less is more. Diggin In The Brain - To me, this is the best song on the Backyard Dept.. The song feels complete. Chippendale is another favourite of mine. It is succeeded by an outstanding track, however: Hard Hood, which shows, blatantly, how much Bombsquad has evolved as a singer. There is astounding mix of music in I Don’t Care. I can’t stop humming along Chill Pill. In Hole In Your Head the light shines equally on lyrics, vocals and instrumentation. Bombsquad sings his heart out in Penthouse Bunnies. This track is possibly the biggest guilty pleasure on Backyard Dept.. Put Move Da Booze into car stereo for your highway driving Candy Ass is an underrated song: I like its lyrics and melody a lot. Fuck That Shit is a medium tempo tune. N.S.E.W (4:02) a good melody. Beer is filled with very deep emotions that will truly touch your heart. Once Ding Dong Man gets in your head, it will NEVER leave.
