This disc has all of the essential Atargatis classics. Nowhere is this more so than on their re-working of Atargatis on ‘Intro’. Since completing 2006’s ‘Intro’, Atargatis fulfilled their contract with Virgin Records and where under no obligation to release another album. Atargatis “Wasteland” is an amazing album.
Wasteland (Water’s Heir) is a very good song maybe surprisingly better than you at first might’ve imagined. Selina (Widow Of The Moon) - For me, this is the best of the album. Thy Crystallic Ascension is probably one of Atargatis’s biggest successes for the album - it’s lovely to listen to. This track is almost perfect, instrumentals and vocals combine awesomely. One listen to the sheer beauty of Through the Mists of Oblivion (New Version) was all I needed. This is probably my favorite song on the album. This song may be the most meaningful. This song has very few things relative to that of it’s predecessor. The opening track Angels Crying is very much like you would expect from other albums. I listened to the opening track Outro and liked it a lot.
