This is the first studio album from Untoten since bad diagnosis in 2006. Nowhere is this more so than on their re-working of Untoten on ‘Die Grube Und Das Pendel’. For older fans Die Blutgraefin (Disc 2) will put a massive smile accross your face. Cool, but I like their other actual stuff better like Die Blutgraefin (Disc 2).
In Den Katakomben is a great song for a cosy night in when it’s cold and wintry outside. Ficzko is really the reason why I recommend buying Die Blutgraefin (Disc 2). Untoten breathes new life into the music in Lustgarten (Vorspiel). Die Gruft is another strong production from Untoten. In Die Saat Des Bsen full palet of sound is used by Untoten to accentuate the presentation. Lyrics of Flieg Nur Davon ! are precise and evocative. Blutopfer is beautiful, yet underrated track. It’s very catchy and easy to get into which is what you want in a song. Some of the arrangements found on Die Blutgraefin (Disc 2) are surprisingly edgy. I now have Hexenreich as one of my personal favorites. Die Zeit Steht Still is almost impossible to review. Domine the elegant and beautiful song on the album is hard to describe.
