On Misanthro-Therapie album, Misanthrope have renewed their membership in the ‘if it ain’t broke…’ school of songwriting. For older fans Misanthro-Therapie will put a massive smile accross your face. Misanthrope’s debut, ‘Misanthro-Therapie’, does not fit easily into one genre. I love this album so much, i’ve been crazy about Misanthrope ever.
Inspiration on Misanthro-Therapie is solid and easy to listen to. Le Bestiaire Souterrain is a striking and quite long song. You have to get essence of the Emmurement’s power, to truly understand this masterpiece. Estampe Geopolitique is one of the coolest songs Misanthrope has ever recorded. Amour Anthropophage - I just love it. L’Antechrist is a great song for a cosy night in when it’s cold and wintry outside. The first time I listened to Crimes, Tyrannie Et Chatiments I was struck by its astounding sound. Contemplation is just simply stunning. Chair Organique (With Ludovic Loez) is one of my favorite songs by Misanthrope. After you’ve listened to Bassiste-De-Coeur, most everything else can’t hold up and is second rate. Conte Fantasmagorique (With Stille Volk) is a cool sing-along. Exsilium Exsitentia as a highlight of Misanthro-Therapie contains a ton of marvelous melodies.
