This -song debut EP shows the promise that Mariano Barba has. This album has some very good songs like Hermoso carino and El mono de alambre version original. After seeing Hermoso carino, I had to have a good Mariano Barba cd. To me Mariano Barba is the best band ever.
El mono de alambre version original - To me, this is the best song on the De parranda con Mariano Barba. I love the melodic melody of Alma enamorada and to this day it makes me feel good. Mariano Barba breathes new life into the music in No hay novedad. I can’t stop humming along El pavido Navido. La higuera is a medium tempo tune. Best song on the album, love it. La guarecita is a strong cut, one of many. It’s such an underrated song. What sets Cosas del amor apart is Mariano Barba’s innovative and organic way of creating atmospheres. This track makes my mind whirl and vibrate with flowing energy. Nice and different song. El gavilancillo - Okay, I just talked about depth. El pajaro prieto is the album’s biggest hit, I think. Vocal harmonies in this track are great and song structure is just right. This track is just a stunning masterpiece.
