Self-described as Country with lots of words, Dale Watson comes out swinging on perhaps his best album to date. After seeing Sit And Drink And Cry, I had to have a good Dale Watson cd. Jim Jones has compared writing for Dale Watson’s new album to that on ‘Heeah!!’ - but has declared the lyrics will be even more terrifying. This is my first Dale Watson Album and i must say i am blown away.
Whiskey Or God is perfect. I Don’t Feel Too Lucky Today is a striking and quite long song. No Help Wanted sets the tone for the entire album. Album opener My Heart Is Yours is a bright, upbeat ditty. It Hurts So Good is one of those songs that will put you in a good mood. Only one song from Heeah!! named Truckin’ Queen (I Got My Night Gown On) really got me. Darlin’ Look At me Now makes a person feel perfect. Overall a nice softer song. Don’t judge I Ain’t Been Right, Since I’ve Been Left on the first listening. Tequila And Teardrops is probably the most interesting track on Heeah!!. This song is very powerful, its catchy melody will have you singing along in no time. Outta Luck is probably the highlight of the album. Heeah!! (2:25) - awsome.
