Self-described as New Age with lots of words, Andrew Vasquez comes out swinging on perhaps his best album to date. I am not a real New Age music type of person, but i have to admit ‘Togo’ really is amazing. Lead single “Togo” and “Spirit Eyes” start with near-whispers before kicking into giddily catchy, fuzz box-driven hollered hooks. Togo touched my soul like nothing else.
This song is very powerful, its catchy melody will have you singing along in no time. Morning Sun defines beauty, yet is as unforgiving as an astringent stone. Walk Me To The Water - isn’t quite as powerful vocally, but has a beautiful melody. In Night Shadows full palet of sound is used by Andrew Vasquez to accentuate the presentation. Wild Horses is a great opener for Togo. One of the more genuine-sounding songs is Kadence. Cry For A Vision is the albums biggest surprise. My Heart Soars (4:15) - awsome. Music of Life In A Day is gentle, never overbearing. Wootavah is a romantic if not formulaic ditty.
