There is no doubt that William Basinski has talent. Since William Basinski last CD (Variations: A Movement in Chrome Primitive) on Blue Note Records back in 2004, I have felt a massive void in my life. It has been seven years William Basinski’ last studio CD, “Variations: A Movement in Chrome Primitive” which won Array MTV Music Awards and was nominated for album of the year. Lots of variety between tracks. My favorite is Part 2
Part 2 - I used to hate this song, but now it’s one of my favorites. This is one of those songs that musicians strive to write and create. Part 4 actually sounds so joyous, that you can practically see a smile on William Basinski’s face. So much energy, so exciting a sound.Part 6 - To me, this is the best song on the Variations: A Movement in Chrome Primitive. William Basinski emotions are reflected through Part 7. Part 8 is a very good song maybe surprisingly better than you at first might’ve imagined.
