Gloria Trevi was a flawless and timeless record. Not surprising from Gloria Trevi and Como Nace El Universo together. Gloria Trevi’s debut, ‘Como Nace El Universo’, does not fit easily into one genre. It’s natural for Gloria Trevi to take a stab at ‘Sexo Y Dinero’ considering her long-professed love for Paul Oakenfold. This is the best album I have heard in a long time
Poder Y Fama is maybe the best thing the group’s ever done. Gloria Trevi allows each song to breathe and flourish. Horas Tranquilas is one of these floating songs. La Nota Roja is another favourite of mine. El Domador is perhaps one of the best tracks of the past decade. Awesome song is really all that you can say about it. Gloria Trevi emotions are reflected through Senor Presidente. It is succeeded by an outstanding track, however: Timbres Postales Al Cielo, which shows, blatantly, how much Gloria Trevi has evolved as a singer. Nieve De Mamey defines beauty, yet is as unforgiving as an astringent stone. Although Eres Un Santo is very melodic it is far from sad. I came to like Como Nace El Universo.
