Since completing 2005’s ‘Coalescent Of The Inhumane Awareness’, Tyranny fulfilled their contract with EMI Records and where under no obligation to release another album. This is the first studio album from Tyranny since bad diagnosis in 2005. For older fans Tides Of Awakening will put a massive smile accross your face. Such great and happy songs.
Music and lyrics of Sonorous Howl From Beyond The Stars creates, for me, fertile ground for daydreaming. Although I prefer the faster paced music, I think Upon The War-Torn Shape Of Cold Earth is my favorite song on Tides Of Awakening. In In The Arcane Clasp Of Unwritten Hours you won’t find any flashy solos. I find myself hearing bits of Entreaties To The Primaeval Chaos here and there throughout my waking hours.
