While no new This Is Hell album is in sight, the artist has been road testing new songs during 2006 tour in Asia. There is no doubt that This Is Hell has talent. Sundowning isn’t so much a record, as a great effort at dragging you into another world. One of This Is Hell’s best albums yet.
This track is possibly the biggest guilty pleasure on Sundowning. Here Comes The Rains is a very good song maybe surprisingly better than you at first might’ve imagined. The beautiful sound of this track makes you want to close your eyes and sway away with the music. I can’t stop playing 4/8/05. The Polygraph Cheaters is one of those songs that will put you in a good mood. Deliver Me is worth the money. Outside of the singles, my favorite song on Sundowning is The Absentee Ballot. Broken Teeth marked the continuation of This Is Hell in style evolution. I believe 8/27/05 is one of the most amazing, heartfelt songs ever written. Procession Commence is a romantic if not formulaic ditty. Nobody Leaves Without Singing The Blues - This one is what it is: a powerful, primal invitation to love. This Is Hell has astounded me with this amazing track.
