ten years ago, Steve Roach briefly lived up to their terrific name, with an insanely addictive hit single called “Living The Pulse”. Self-described as Ambient with lots of words, Steve Roach comes out swinging on perhaps his best album to date. Proof Positive carries a very emotional theme throughout the album. Living The Pulse as a highlight of Proof Positive contains a ton of perfect melodies. The sound in Essential Occurrence is really warm and Steve Roach’s signature voice is still very much present. Steve Roach rocks harder than ever with Adreno Stream. I find myself hearing bits of Proof Positive here and there throughout my waking hours.
