‘Mr Brown’ kicks the album off with a blast of pure pop energy. Lead single “I’m Soul” and “Margarita (Ft.Pharrell and Big Boi)” start with near-whispers before kicking into giddily catchy, fuzz box-driven hollered hooks. Since Sleepy Brown last CD (Mr Brown) on Virgin Records back in 2006, I have felt a massive void in my life. I wish that “Mr Brown” album was instrumental.
Margarita (Ft.Pharrell and Big Boi) is one of these floating songs. Get 2 It is a great opener for Mr Brown. This is one hell of a track. It’s so catchy, it’s amazing. Me, My Baby and My Cadillac (Prelude) gets you up and jumping. Me, My Baby and My Cadillac is filled with very deep emotions that will truly touch your heart. Dance With Me gives good insight into the truths. Underwater Love sets the tone for the entire album. It’s a great pleasure to listen to Till (Your Legs Start Shaking) from the beginning to the end. Voice of Sleepy Brown in Sunday Morning is honest and guitar work is subtle and poignant. This track is a great song that still never gets old. I Can’t Wait (Bonus Track Ft.Outkast) - My least favorite song on this album.
