Thom Yorke has compared writing for Ric Ocasek’s new album to that on ‘Nexterday’ - but has declared the lyrics will be even more terrifying. No Ric Ocasek song has come close to capturing my attention as Bottom Dollar did. I now have Don’t Lose Me as one of my personal favorites. All of songs on Nexterday and have something to say letting alone In A Little Bit. Outside of the singles, my favorite song on Nexterday is Silver. Come On - a classic song. I like to sing along with I’m Thinking, though I mess up the lyrics sometimes. This is the most melodic ambitious and satisfying track in Nexterday. Heard About You is the song that really did it for me. Please Don’t Let Me Down - This one makes me want to not only sing along. Vocals of Ric Ocasek in It Gets Crazy really capture me and are set perfectly to the rhythm.
