‘It Takes A Nation-The First London Invasion Tour 1987′ kicks the album off with a blast of pure pop energy. Now signed to Public Enemy’s Sparrow Records, the title track from second album “It Takes A Nation-The First London Invasion Tour 1987″ leads Public Enemy’s back-to-school campaign. Lead single “Countdown To Armageddon” and “Raise The Roof” start with near-whispers before kicking into giddily catchy, fuzz box-driven hollered hooks. Enjoy the show.
A unique and uplifting song. A great put together song. Bring The Noise stands out to me for its audacious melody and sheer beauty. Excellent vocals and musical performances. Rightstarter - Okay, I just talked about depth. I loved Rebel Without A Pause the first time I heard it. You’re Gonna Get Yours is a great song to contemplate the modern music and what it really is all about. Timebomb is one of the most beautiful songs ever to grace my stereo. Public Enemy Number One is a song to enjoy for years to come. I find myself hearing bits of MKLVFKWR (DJ Johnny Juice On THe Loose Remix) here and there throughout my waking hours. After about the third Public Enemy Number One (DJ Spooky Drums Of Death Remix) listen through, I began to believe this song is Public Enemy’s essence. Bass In Your Face without a doubt is the standout song of It Takes A Nation-The First London Invasion Tour 1987. I believe Miuzi Weighs A Ton (Live With DJ Lord-San Franciso 1999) is one of the most exquisite, heartfelt songs ever written. Public Enemy Number One (Geronimo Punks Redo) the elegant and beautiful song on the album is hard to describe. This is one hell of a track. Blew our minds when we first heard Do You Wanna Go Our Way (Nexttmen UK Remix). It is succeeded by an outstanding track, however: Rebirthinstrumental, which shows, blatantly, how much Public Enemy has evolved as a singer. Bring That Beat Back (Bonus 2005 Sneak Peak) - isn’t quite as powerful vocally, but has a beautiful melody.
