While no new Popa Chubby album is in sight, the artist has been road testing new songs during 2005 tour in Africa. Since completing 2005’s ‘A Chaque Jour Suffir Sa Peine’, Popa Chubby fulfilled their contract with ForeFront Records and where under no obligation to release another album. I am not a real Blues music type of person, but i have to admit ‘Ten Years With Popa Chubby: the Very Best of Popa Chubby CD1′ really is amazing. This album is a scorcher!

Somebody Let The Devil Out makes a person feel cool. This track is just a stunning masterpiece. Music in Messin’ With The Kid is perfect as in all tracks of Ten Years With Popa Chubby: the Very Best of Popa Chubby CD1. Song And The Beat Goes On is actually a funny song. How’d A White Boy Get The Blues - arguably the best track on Ten Years With Popa Chubby: the Very Best of Popa Chubby CD1 album. Daddy Played The Guitar (And Mama Was A Disco Queen) - This one is lively and fun. Black Hearted Woman - Popa Chubby & Galea is so unique, as each one of the songs is. She Said That Evil Was Her Name which is my favorite is a truly Popa Chubby sounding song. Excellent vocals and musical performances. Music and lyrics of Laya What Ya Tryin’ To Do creates, for me, fertile ground for daydreaming. Real Thing is a song you cannot help but think about at odd moments in your day. The first time I listened to Angel On My Shoulder I was struck by its excellent sound.
