I think Cara Valente is the best song Maria Rita has ever done. Cupido is beautiful, yet underrated track. Maria Rita must have run out of lyrics on the next track Dos Gardenias. Encontros E Despedidas has a fun tempo. Maria Rita allows each song to breathe and flourish. Menina Da Lua is Maria Rita’s best work in years. Such hits like Pagu will leave you hooked. I have all of Maria Rita’s tracks and Santa Chuva is probably the most his introspective effort. Once you hear Veja Bem Meu Bem, you will listen to it over and over. Some of the arrangements found on Maria Rita are surprisingly edgy. Menininha Do Portao without a doubt is the standout song of Maria Rita. What sets Nao Vale A Pena apart is Maria Rita’s innovative and organic way of creating atmospheres.
