Nowhere is this more so than on their re-working of Jill Scott on ‘Warm Up’. Since Jill Scott last CD (Beautifully Human: Words and Sounds Vol. 2) on Mute Records back in 2004, I have felt a massive void in my life. On Beautifully Human: Words and Sounds Vol. 2 album, Jill Scott have renewed their membership in the ‘if it ain’t broke…’ school of songwriting. Jill Scott “Beautifully Human: Words and Sounds Vol. 2″ is an amazing album.
I’m Not Afraid great lyrics, dark, deep, angry and cool.Golden one of the best in my collection. The Fact Is (I Need You) sets the tone for the entire album. Spring Summer Feeling is the astounding blend of moody yet optimistic tunes. Cross My Mind (4:45) - awsome. The beautiful sound of this track makes you want to close your eyes and sway away with the music. Talk To Me - another great track from the Beautifully Human: Words and Sounds Vol. 2 album. This track is possibly the biggest guilty pleasure on Beautifully Human: Words and Sounds Vol. 2. Can’t Explain (42nd Street Happenstance) I just LOVE this mix! Some of the arrangements found on Beautifully Human: Words and Sounds Vol. 2 are surprisingly edgy. It took me a little time but I ended up loving Not Like Crazy. Nothing (Interlude) have really caught my ear and imagination. In Rasool Jill Scott spins a tale you want to hear to the end. My Petition presents the exquisite mix of instruments on Beautifully Human: Words and Sounds Vol. 2. I Keep / Still Here is really a nice song to relax and listen too. Bedda At Home (Acoustic Version) is a song you cannot help but think about at odd moments in your day.
