After seeing Intro, I had to have a good La Excepcion cd. Self-described as Rap: Hip-Hop with lots of words, La Excepcion comes out swinging on perhaps his best album to date. There were many famous songs of La Excepcion available. IT makes me wanna dance!
Strong, powerful vocals of La Excepcion in Por Bule are very impressive. Amos Chacho is such a amazing and optimistic song that things can get just better. It’s a great pleasure to listen to Hoy Frescuni from the beginning to the end. I find myself hearing bits of Interludio here and there throughout my waking hours. Zapato Ortopedico - Okay, I just talked about depth. Oye Compai is the albums lead single as well as biggest hit. La Excepcion emotions are reflected through Nos Late Fuerte. This track is full of harmonies and gets Cata Cheli off to a relaxing start. Gorrion Bernardino (4:52) - awsome. Other tracks are good but your best bet is to stick with Semuera la Madre. Alma de Molino is the song that really did it for me. Palmas Darnos has a gorgeous instrumental sound, which lets La Excepcion’s strong vocals come to the fore. 3 Chaborros y un Destino is a song to savor, to listen to from every angle. Only one song from Cata Cheli named Y en Frio really got me. No Se Puede Er Primo make listening to La Excepcion like being in some sort of time warp. In Chungo Petaca the music gets its power. Outside of the singles, my favorite song on Cata Cheli is Hoy. Chacho is the albums biggest surprise.
